Too small

Beautifully crafted hand tooled leather tote

I first saw this bag on the Sundance website and fell in love with it. Of course it sold out literally 24 hours before I finally decided to buy it…I’d been waiting for it to go on sale, and apparently so had everyone else. :)))

So I felt really fortunate to have found the name of the maker and I decided to buy the bag from a buyer on eBay…who then never shipped it…ughhhh!!!

Finally I landed here and discovered the bag again, with three more color options…wow! Which then meant I had to spend a few days debating which color was my favorite. It’s been a real journey, right? :))

I ultimately selected honey and have zero complaints—it’s a warm, delicious brown with yellow undertones and I can’t really do it justice trying to describe it. It’s very, very pretty and has the intricate, high quality hand tooling on *both* sides, which is wonderful…none of that “make sure I have the right side facing the world” dilemma every time I carry it. ;)

It’s a very spacious tote but not bigger than an average tote. I’m very short but feel comfortable carrying it—it doesn’t overwhelm me. The details are fabulous—whip stitched edges, folded leather handles, heavy (brass?) hardware. It’s the kind of bag you’d expect to find in an upscale store in Oaxaca or Mexico City, but without the travel. I truly love it and feel happy every time I use it.

Someone said the bag is heavy but honestly, it’s surprisingly light for the size and quality of the tote. I have canvas LV bags that are smaller and far heavier.

This is an excellent bag for summer and could easily hold mostly everything you’d want to bring to say, a pool party, or the beach, but it’s also equally stylish with a warm-toned, fall-inspired outfit and your favorite boots. Fantastic bag. I’m very much enjoying it. It also strongly smells of leather in the best way possible!!
